​Seeing the whirling dervishes was an amazing experience. It became the inspiration for this painting. The essence:capturing the trance like movement and the wide circling clothes.
Sema, the whirling dervish ceremony is the inspiration of Mevlana Celaladdin-l Rume (1207-1273) as well as part of Turkish custom, history, beliefs and culture.
