Selling Yourself?

Many viewers are surprised by the variety of my work and curious about the reason why. Well, here is the reason:

I want to stay me in my work, and me has many facets. People have often told me they recognise my work, despite my range of style. Yes, I could concentrate on one style of work that has sold well; although despite the variety of my work, it has always sold. 

For me, painting is not mainly about selling but exploring, challenging myself, taking risks, continuously moving forward, and discovering all the different facets of me and the world around me. Selling is important, of course, but I am not willing to put myself under the pressure to only produce work to sell. I have moved past that limitation and I accept the possibility that my work may not sell, which so far hasn't happened. The exciting part for the viewer is that they never know what is coming next, and neither do I!
